Michael Jackson

Michael Joseph Jackson (August 29, 1958, June "€ 25, 2009), nicknamed the" King of Pop "Was a musician and singer who became one of the artists of the most commercially successful recording of all time. It's unique contribution music and dance, with a much-publicized personal life, makes him an important figure in popular culture for four decades.

A double-induced in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his other achievements function of multiple Guinness World Records â € "that the most successful artist of all time, â € "13 Grammys, 13 singles number, and estimated sales at more than 750 million records. It is also notable philanthropist who donated millions of dollars a record 39 charities and has raised through its own World Healing Foundation.

He began his solo career in 1971 after its debut in 1964 as a member of the Jackson 5. His 1982 album Thriller is still the best selling album of all time, with four â € "Off The Wall (1979), Bad (1987), Dangerous (1991) and History (1995) â € "among the best sellers. It moves popularized physically complicated dance number, including the robot and the moonwalk. He is widely credited with having transformed the music video for a promotional tool into an art form, with videos such as "Billie Jean" "Beat It" Thriller "and making him the first African American to accumulate a crossroads strong following on MTV.

Jackson's personal life has generated considerable controversy. His appearance has changed markedly since early 1980, with changes as your nose and the color of his skin by pulling the advertising media. He was accused in 1993 of child molestation, even if no charges were filed. He married twice, first in 1994 and again in 1996 and raised three children, one born to a surrogate mother. In 2005 he was tried and acquitted of charges of brutality. Jackson died at age 50 June 25, 2009, Los Angeles, California, after suffering cardiac arrest. His funeral was broadcast live worldwide.
